What is the probability that (1) Moonpie would spike a fever over 100 twice in two weeks, (2) I would catch bronchitis the same week, (3) my mother, who came to stay with me to help during our illnesses, would be bitten by a brown recluse spider while sleeping in my guest room, (4) congruent to our adoption paperwork expiring and having to be redone the same weekend that (5) we are asked to submit our profile to a family expecting a baby to be born in ... ten days?

Oh, boy. I will send you good thoughts and best wishes and prayers for a happy resolution to all of these concerns, but especially #5! Somehow, you will get through this week, and it might be the start of something wonderful...
