THE CAST:

Soper: extremely hot and totally cool. Recovering attorney, known for her modesty and general daintiness. This blog belongs to her.

D: The husband. Extremely patient pony-tailed doctor.

Moonpie: Daughter number one. Hails from Kazakhstan, preschooler, hates pink, thinks she is a boy.

Sugarplum (Shug): Daughter number two. Milk protein sensitive bundle of joy. A surprise addition born in Texas over Christmas of 2008.

Supporting Cast: Animals -- various, hairy, and malodorous. People -- generally annoying. Family -- mainly wonderful, occasionally mind-blowingly dense.

The Plot: Infertility, followed by international adoption (Moonpie), followed by a failed domestic adoption (Tron), followed by a successful domestic open adoption (Shug), followed by ... whatever life brings us.
